Junior Interior Designer/Project Manager

Allison Elebash Interior Design (AEID) is seeking a full-time Junior Designer/Project Manager to support the interior design team in our Charleston, SC office.  The ideal candidate is extremely organized, detail oriented and a self-motivated problem solver. This person will support the design team and assist Principal and Designer in all phases of design projects from inception to installation. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1-3 years residential design experience. This position is instrumental in executing projects successfully and will report to the Senior Designer.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
Candidates must possess a college degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience.  Extreme attention to detail and excellent project management skills are required along with demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.  Positive disposition and ability to work independently and within a collaborative environment. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.  Tech savvy. Working knowledge of software (Studio Designer, Google Drive, and use of spreadsheets).  Ability to handle a high volume of documents and busy workload.

 
Auto Cad required. Proficiency with Studio Designer, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Office and Google Applications a plus. Experience with ground up construction highly recommended. Must be highly organized and resourceful with a strong attention to detail, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
 
Skills and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
-Knowledge of the program Studio Designer or similar is preferred
-Design Auto CAD FFP and Elevations
-Assist with preparation for client meetings to include visual presentations
-Create estimates and decorative budgets
-Create proposals, orders and invoices
-Procure quotes and execute orders with work rooms, vendors and subcontractors, maintaining relationships within this network
-Maintain project schedules (such as FFE, plumbing, paint and materials)
-Coordinate and track shipments and deliveries, and oversee installations
-Assist with coordination and note-taking on site visits, work room visits, etc.
-Assist with shopping for textiles and furniture selections
