Intermediate Designer

Allison Elebash Interior Design (AEID) is seeking a full-time Intermediate Designer to support the interior design team in our Charleston, SC office. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, detail oriented and a self-motivated problem solver. This person will support the design team and assist Principal and Senior Designer in all phases of design projects from inception to installation. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3-5 years design experience. This position is instrumental in executing projects successfully and will report to the Senior Designer.

Job Requirements:
Candidates must possess a college degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of interior design experience.
Extreme attention to detail and excellent project management skills are required along with demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills and resourcefulness. Positive disposition, sense of humor, and the ability to work independently and within a collaborative environment.  Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication. Tech savvy. Working knowledge of software (Studio Designer, Google Drive, and use of spreadsheets). Ability to handle a high volume of documents and busy workload.
Auto Cad required. Proficiency with Studio Designer, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Office and Google Applications a plus. Experience with ground up construction is highly recommended. Must be highly organized and resourceful with a strong attention to detail, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Intermediate Designer Skills and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Knowledge of the design software program Studio Designer or similar is preferred
- Auto CAD, including space and furniture planning and interior elevations; color renderings
- Assist with preparation for client meetings to include visual presentations
- Create estimates and decorative budgets
- Create proposals, estimates, and furnishings budgets
- Vendor communication 
- Maintain project schedules (such as FFE, plumbing, paint and materials)
- Assist with coordination and note-taking on site visits, work room visits, and oversee installations, etc.
- Assist with shopping for textiles and furniture selections
- Working knowledge of interior design vendors
